What is this thing called freedom?

The brave and selfless,
Of wars,
Of battles,
Of lost lives,
Of victories past,
Of time,
Of foreign soil,
Of yesteryear,
Of blood,
Of tears,

All in the name of her, of freedom.

So that we may live our lives,
So that we may exercise our choices,
So that we may raise our voices,

All in the name of her, of freedom.

We speak,
We cry,
We honor,
The memories of the countless men and women
who served courageously…

We speak,
We cry,
We honor,

The fallen who can no longer speak nor cry for themselves because they gave the ultimate sacrifice all in the name of her, of freedom.

For they gave their lives.

If Heaven shall smile today, through the brilliance of the sun,
If Heaven shall shed tears that we call rain,
It matters.

For those are the smiles and those of the tears of the soldiers who now serve as angels.

We will speak for them,
We will cry for them,
We will honor them.
We will remember them.

All in the name of her, of freedom.
